In Sønderborg there are many opportunities to take part in sports, culture and voluntary activities with other young people. By taking part, you can develop your language skills, meet new friends and create a network.
Grand Youth House
The Grand Youth House is a great place to hangout if you want to meet other students. The place is located at Løngang 29, and it is open from Wednesday to Friday from 14 pm to 18 pm.
There are loads of sports activities to be found in Sønderborg.
At the library you can borrow music, books and films. You can also attend talks and presentations, or take part in activities for children and adults alike.
You must be registered in order to borrow from the library.

Fun Bowling is one of Southern Denmark's biggest bowling alleys. As well as bowling lanes, there is also a café and a pub.

The cinema in Sønderborg shows current movies in HD and 3D. As a student, you get 10% discount if you bring along your student ID. In both Sønderborg and Nordborg non-Danish films are shown in their original language versions with Danish subtitles.

Sønderborg Student Foundation is a central organisation, focusing on improving the student environment in Sønderborg. They seek active and ambitious students to help arrange different activities.

The object of the association is to act as a "bridge builder" for companies and graduates. It aims to create growth in the Southern Jutland, by providing access to innovation and new knowledge from the university students more easily to local businesses.
